About Lilit
Lilit Khacatrian is an established yet ever-growing young artist from Yerevan, Armenia specialising in photography and graphic design. Khachatrian managed to have a variety of fulfilling achievements in
her career. In 2017, Khacatrian held her first solo exhibition at the Dalan Art Gallery in
Yerevan, Armenia, which was followed by a permanent display at Mesrop Mashtots Institute
of Ancient Manuscripts featuring her collection of works ‘‘Sfera’’.
Furthermore, nearly 140 photographs of artefacts by Khachatrian were used in the
making of the catalogue for the "ARMENIA!" exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in
New York City. The photographs led to the creation of a comprehensive catalogue that has
since sold out globally.
As a graphic designer, the artist worked at the History Museum of Armenia and
designed entire books. Currently, she is working on a project at the Massachusetts Institute
of Technology in Cambridge, MA, which focuses on feminism and feminist writers in Armenia
dating back several centuries. The artist's role in the project involves photographing archival
documents related to this subject, resulting in the creation of a comprehensive website that
is accessible to researchers worldwide.
